Ocean Place

Completed in 2003, this home has 4,200 sq. ft. with a 2 car garage, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and sits 170 feet above the high water mark overlooking Eagle Harbour Yacht Club in West Vancouver.

Twelve-foot-high butted window walls allow for an unimpeded panoramic view of Howe Sound. Cantilevered decks pinned into the granite rock allow for each room to be connected directly to the outdoors. A wine room was incorporated into the lower level of the home and has an exposed granite rock face that allows for the room to be kept naturally cool. This home won the Canadian Interiors Magazine Design Award for the kitchen and two bathrooms.

Alex completed this complex project while working with his father’s firm Robert Burgers Architect (RBA), now known as Burgers Architecture Inc (BAI).
